I am an entrepreneur and quantitative researcher working across applied AI, data science, analytical systems, and political science.
I am the Founder of Masters Enterprises, where I develop and operate software and specialist ventures from initial research and product definition through technical development and launch. My current work includes Incline, a decision-intelligence platform for structuring and evaluating complex decisions, and Surefolio, a platform for organizing and preparing health insurance claims.
I also founded Masters Advanced Solutions (MAS), which focuses on developing analytically defensible systems and structured evidence for complex real-world problems. Its work combines quantitative research, data science, modelling, and applied AI across a range of domains.
Alongside this work, I am completing an MSc in Data Science and Public Policy (Political Sciences) at University College London. My academic research focuses on authoritarian regime transitions, particularly the causes and cross-national diffusion of autocratic breakdown (see research section here). I developed AT-ERDS, an extension of the Geddes, Wright, and Frantz authoritarian regimes dataset covering the period from 1946 to 2023, and presented research using the dataset at the 28th IPSA World Congress of Political Science in Seoul. The current version of the data set and its code book can be accessed using the navigation bar above.
Across both my research and commercial work, I am particularly interested in problems that require complex evidence to be transformed into transparent, reproducible, and practically useful analytical systems.
Outside of my professional and academic work, my interests include aviation, motorsport, classical music, and parrot conservation. and collecting. I am also a collector of everything from 19th century British art to Formula 1 memorabilia.
