Awarded a First Class mark for my dissertation, Not Just Neighbors, which examined the cross-national diffusion of autocratic breakdown using an original data set and quantitative empirical analysis. The project subsequently developed into a broader research program on authoritarian regime transitions and provided the foundation for AT-ERDS.
AT-ERDS
An original research data set extending the Geddes, Wright, and Frantz authoritarian-regimes data through 2023 and incorporating additional contextual variables for the quantitative study of authoritarian regime transitions.
Revisiting Regime Transitions
Conference paper using AT-ERDS to revisit established findings on authoritarian regime breakdown and transition in light of developments since the original data set and analysis. Presented at the 28th IPSA World Congress of Political Science in Seoul.
Not Just Neighbors
Undergraduate dissertationQuantitative research examining whether autocratic breakdown diffuses through structural relationships between states beyond geographic proximity. Developed an original dataset and empirical approach that subsequently informed my continuing research on regime transitions.
